Overview

LSD2 siRNA is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to target and knock down the expression of lysine-specific demethylase 2 (LSD2, also known as KDM1B). LSD2 is a flavin-dependent histone demethylase that specifically demethylates mono- and di-methylated histone H3 lysine 4 (H3K4me1/2) and lysine 9 (H3K9me1/2), playing a key role in chromatin remodeling and transcriptional regulation. In preclinical research, particularly in breast cancer models, transient knockdown of LSD2 using siRNA has been shown to significantly inhibit cell proliferation and growth in multiple breast cancer cell lines, suggesting that LSD2 is a potential therapeutic target for oncology indications.
