LT-01

LT-01 is a humanized monoclonal antibody developed by Laboratorios Liomont S.A. de C.V. as a biosimilar to the reference biologic Xolair (omalizumab). It is designed to target and sequester free human immunoglobulin E (IgE) in the blood and interstitial fluid. By binding to the Cε3 domain of the IgE molecule, LT-01 prevents IgE from interacting with the high-affinity FcεRI receptors located on the surface of mast cells and basophils. This inhibition prevents the cross-linking of IgE-receptor complexes and the subsequent degranulation of these effector cells, thereby blocking the release of inflammatory mediators such as histamine, leukotrienes, and cytokines. LT-01 is primarily being developed for the treatment of allergic and inflammatory conditions, including chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU), allergic asthma, and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). Clinical development has focused on demonstrating pharmacokinetic and therapeutic equivalence to the reference product to support regulatory approval and indication extrapolation.
