Overview

LT-2004 (also known as Nano-BPS) is a nano-formulated prostacyclin (PGI2) derivative, specifically beraprost sodium, being developed by LTT Bio-Pharma for the treatment of pulmonary hypertension. The drug utilizes a specialized drug delivery system (DDS) consisting of stealth-type nanoparticles designed to encapsulate the PGI2 derivative. This nanoformulation is engineered to selectively accumulate in vascular lesions and provide sustained release of the active ingredient, which may allow for an extended dosing interval of once every two weeks. As a prostacyclin receptor agonist, LT-2004 promotes vasodilation and inhibits platelet aggregation and smooth muscle cell proliferation, thereby addressing the pathological remodeling and increased pressure in the pulmonary vasculature.
