Overview

LTG-305 is an orally available, selective small molecule inhibitor of the voltage-gated sodium channel Nav1.8, developed by Latigo Biotherapeutics for the treatment of pain. Nav1.8 plays a crucial role in transmitting pain signals in peripheral sensory neurons. By selectively inhibiting this channel, LTG-305 aims to provide effective non-opioid pain relief while minimizing central nervous system side effects such as addiction, dizziness, and somnolence that are associated with traditional therapies. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to assess its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy volunteers[1][3][4][6].
