LTG-418 is a next-generation, structurally distinct small molecule inhibitor of the voltage-gated sodium channel Nav1.8 (SCN10A) being developed by Latigo Biotherapeutics for the potential treatment of acute and chronic pain. Designed to be highly potent, LTG-418 is predicted to require a substantially lower dose than earlier-generation Nav1.8 inhibitors (such as onzotrigine/LTG-001 and LTG-321). This lower dosing profile is intended to expand formulation opportunities beyond oral and intravenous delivery to include topical gels, patches, eye drops, and inhalers. LTG-418 has completed 14-day non-GLP toxicology studies in rats and non-human primates, demonstrating suitable tolerability.
