LTI-02

LTI-02 is an investigational pharmaceutical drug being developed by Lung Therapeutics as a treatment for acute lung injury, a severe condition characterized by diffuse alveolar damage, inflammation, and impaired gas exchange in the lungs.[13][14] It is part of Lung Therapeutics’ pipeline of fibrinolytic and lung-targeted therapies that includes LTI-01 for empyema and LTI-03 for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, and is mechanistically linked to modulation of plasminogen activators and fibrin turnover in the injured lung, building on technology initially developed at The University of Texas System.[10][13] Although detailed molecular and clinical data on LTI-02 remain limited in the public domain, it is classified as a plasminogen activator modulator, suggesting a small‑molecule or biologic approach designed to enhance fibrinolysis, resolve fibrinous exudates, and improve lung function in acute lung injury.[10][13]
