LTV-1 is an experimental small-molecule antagonist of the protein tyrosine phosphatase non-receptor type 22 (PTPN22), a negative regulator of T-cell receptor signaling that is genetically implicated in multiple autoimmune diseases. By inhibiting PTPN22, LTV-1 is intended to enhance T-cell activation and modulate immune responses, with potential applications across autoimmune and inflammatory indications. The compound was initially developed at the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute and remains in very early, preclinical research with no active clinical development reported.
