Overview

LTX-608 is a proprietary intravenous formulation of nafamostat mesylate, a synthetic serine protease inhibitor. It is being developed for the treatment of several acute and severe conditions including COVID-19, disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), and acute pancreatitis. The drug acts primarily by inhibiting transmembrane protease serine 2 (TMPRSS2), which plays a role in viral entry into host cells and in inflammatory pathways. As an anticoagulant, anti-inflammatory, and antiviral agent, LTX-608 has broad therapeutic potential in critical care settings[1][2][3][4][5].
