Overview

LTZ-232 is a first-in-class myeloid cell engager developed by LTZ Therapeutics using its proprietary Universal Myeloid Cell Engager (U-MCE™) platform. It is designed to treat solid tumors by simultaneously binding to a tumor-associated antigen (TAA) and activating myeloid effector cells, such as macrophages, monocytes, and natural killer (NK) cells. The U-MCE platform utilizes a proprietary Fc engineering technology to engage Fcγ receptors, specifically CD16a (FcγRIIIa) and CD32a (FcγRIIa), to trigger potent antibody-dependent cellular phagocytosis (ADCP) and pro-inflammatory cytokine release. This approach aims to overcome the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment that often limits the efficacy of T-cell or NK-cell directed therapies. As of 2024, LTZ-232 is advancing toward Investigational New Drug (IND) filing and the initiation of Phase 1 clinical trials.
