Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lu-Dang-Shen oral liquid is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) therapeutic derived from the roots of *Codonopsis pilosula* (Dang Shen), specifically the high-quality "Lu" variety historically associated with the Lu'an region. Developed by Wuhan Third Hospital, it is formulated as an oral liquid intended to tonify the Spleen and Lung Qi. In clinical practice, it is used to treat symptoms of Qi deficiency, such as poor appetite, fatigue, and abdominal distension. It has been specifically investigated in clinical trials for its potential to restore digestive function in patients recovering from COVID-19 (convalescent phase), aiming to alleviate post-viral gastrointestinal symptoms.
