Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lu-OncoACP3 (also known as 177Lu-OncoACP3 or Lu-RYZACP3) is a clinical-stage radiopharmaceutical therapeutic agent targeting prostatic acid phosphatase (ACP3) for the treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). Developed by Philochem (a subsidiary of Philogen) and licensed to RayzeBio (a Bristol Myers Squibb company), the drug consists of a high-affinity small-molecule organic ligand targeting ACP3, an innovative spacer structure, and a DOTAGA chelator complexed with the beta-emitting radioisotope Lutetium-177 (177Lu). ACP3 is highly and selectively expressed in prostate cancer cells with minimal expression in normal tissues, offering a promising alternative target for patients with low or heterogeneous PSMA expression. Upon binding to ACP3, the radioligand delivers localized, cytotoxic beta radiation to tumor cells, inducing DNA damage and cell death.
