Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lubex Ichthyol shampoo is a specialized dermatological shampoo developed by Permamed for the treatment of scalp redness, irritation, and dandruff. It is formulated with a combination of active ingredients, including light-colored ichthyol (sodium shale oil sulfonate), polidocanol 600, salicylic acid, climbazole, piroctone olamine, and undecylenamide MEA. Light-colored ichthyol provides anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antiseborrheic properties, while polidocanol 600 acts as a local anesthetic to soothe itching and irritation. Salicylic acid acts as a keratolytic agent to remove existing dandruff flakes. The antifungal agents climbazole, piroctone olamine, and undecylenamide MEA target *Malassezia* yeast overgrowth to restore the natural balance of the scalp flora. The shampoo is hypoallergenic, free of preservatives, colorants, and allergenic fragrances, and is adjusted to the natural pH of the scalp (pH 5).
