Overview
**Lubrithal** is a Dechra veterinary ophthalmic lubricating gel for dogs and cats. Its active lubricating polymer, carbomer, retains water within the preocular tear film and forms a protective, moisturizing layer over the ocular surface; the gel rapidly liquefies on contact with ocular fluid. It is used to support management of dry-eye disorders, including keratoconjunctivitis sicca, and other settings where ocular surface dryness requires lubrication and protection. The marketed gel contains water, sorbitol, carbomer, sodium hydroxide, cetrimide, and disodium EDTA and is supplied in a 15 g tube.
