Overview

**LUCAR-B68** is a universal BCMA-targeted allogeneic cell therapy product being developed for the treatment of relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma. The drug consists of CAR-NK (chimeric antigen receptor natural killer) cells engineered to target B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), a surface protein highly expressed on malignant plasma cells in multiple myeloma. The mechanism of action involves direct targeting and elimination of BCMA-expressing cells via immune-mediated cytotoxicity provided by the CAR-NK cells[7][1][3][8]. Clinical trials are assessing safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and anti-tumor efficacy in patients who have failed standard therapies. LUCAR-B68 is in Phase 1 development as of 2025, and was initially developed by Nanjing Legend Biotech[7][8].
