lulizumab pegol

Lulizumab pegol is a humanized, PEGylated monoclonal antibody fragment (domain antibody) that targets the CD28 antigen on T cells. By blocking CD28, it inhibits T cell activation and can induce immune tolerance, making it a potential therapy for autoimmune diseases and transplant rejection. The drug was developed by Bristol-Myers Squibb and has been investigated primarily for kidney transplant rejection (renal transplant), as well as previously for primary Sjögren's syndrome and systemic lupus erythematosus.
