Overview
LuLym-T is an autologous activated T lymphocyte (ATL) therapy developed by Lukas Biomedical. The treatment involves the ex vivo expansion and activation of a patient's own T cells, typically using anti-CD3 antibodies and interleukin-2 (IL-2), to enhance their cytotoxic potential against tumor cells. LuLym-T is primarily being investigated as an adjuvant immunotherapy to prevent recurrence in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) who have undergone curative treatments such as surgical resection or radiofrequency ablation. By re-infusing a large population of activated effector cells, the therapy aims to eliminate minimal residual disease and improve long-term survival outcomes.
