Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lumbaton is a proprietary Ayurvedic polyherbal formulation developed by AVN Ayurveda Formulations Pvt. Ltd. for the management of spinal disorders. It is primarily indicated for lower back pain, sciatica, lumbar spondylosis, and intervertebral disc prolapse. The formulation is a 'yamaka sneha' (a combination of two medicated oils), specifically sesame oil (tila taila) and castor oil (eranda taila), processed with a blend of traditional Ayurvedic herbs including Sahachara, Rasna, Dasamoola, Guggulu, and Ashwagandha. Its therapeutic action is attributed to anti-inflammatory, anti-degenerative, and nerve-healing properties. According to Ayurvedic principles, it also works by balancing 'Apana Vayu' to restore normal function in the lower back region. Lumbaton is available in multiple oral dosage forms, including soft gel capsules and tablets.
