Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination of Lumbricus rubellus extract (earthworm extract) and fluocinolone acetonide (a synthetic corticosteroid). Lumbricus rubellus extract contains bioactive compounds including fibrinolytic enzymes, polyphenols, and G-90 glycoproteins with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and immunomodulatory properties. The extract has been shown to reduce oxidative stress markers (malondialdehyde and 8-hydroxy-deoxyguanosine), decrease amino transaminase enzyme levels (ALT and AST), and exhibit antibacterial activity against various pathogens such as Porphyromonas gingivalis and Salmonella typhimurium. It also has hepatoprotective, anti-pyretic, anti-apoptosis, anti-thrombosis, anti-coagulation, anti-ischemia, tissue regeneration, and wound healing properties. Fluocinolone acetonide is a synthetic corticosteroid with potent anti-inflammatory properties.
