Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Luminal type-2 is a combination therapeutic regimen evaluated in the Phase 2 STAMP clinical trial for the treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). Developed by the Second Hospital of Tianjin Medical University, the regimen consists of the gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist goserelin, the CYP17A1 inhibitor abiraterone, and the corticosteroid prednisone. It is specifically administered to patients identified with the luminal molecular subtype of prostate cancer who are randomized to receive this experimental androgen receptor-targeted therapy instead of standard docetaxel chemotherapy.
