LungFit PH

LungFit PH is a medical device and drug delivery system that generates inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) on demand from ambient room air using patented Plasma Pulse Technology (also referred to as Ionizer technology). It eliminates the need for traditional nitric oxide gas cylinders by producing iNO at the point of care, delivering it directly into a ventilator breathing circuit. The primary mechanism is the generation of nitric oxide, a potent pulmonary vasodilator, which improves oxygenation and reduces the need for extracorporeal membrane oxygenation in term and near-term neonates with hypoxic respiratory failure associated with clinical or echocardiographic evidence of pulmonary hypertension. The system provides continuous monitoring of delivered gases and features integrated backup systems for uninterrupted therapy. Developed by Beyond Air, LungFit PH is FDA-approved and also holds market authorization in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand[1][4][6][7].
