Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Luofengning Granule (LFN-G) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed for the treatment of unstable angina (UA). Based on the TCM theory of 'endogenous wind due to collateral deficiency,' the formulation consists of six active herbal ingredients: Lumbricus (Di long), Radix Clematidis (Wei lingxian), Radix Cynanchi Paniculati (Xu changqing), Panax notoginseng (San qi), Astragalus (Huang qi), and Borneol (Bing pian). Luofengning Granule exerts multi-target pharmacological effects, including anti-inflammatory activity, immune regulation, improvement of endothelial function, and regulation of coagulation. It has been evaluated in clinical trials, such as a prospective randomized controlled trial (ChiCTR2000030533) led by researchers at Dongzhimen Hospital affiliated with the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, to assess its efficacy and safety as an adjunctive therapy to standard Western medicine in patients with unstable angina.
