Luofushan Baicao Oil

Luofushan Baicao Oil is an essential oil-rich traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula composed of extracts from seventy-nine botanical drugs. It is commonly used for the relief of cold symptoms, headache, insect bites, and swelling. Pharmacological studies indicate that it inhibits the proliferation of influenza A virus (H1N1), reduces viral titers in cell models, and decreases inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β and IL-6. In animal models, inhalation of its aerosol reduced lung damage caused by viral infection. Mechanistically, it acts as an inhibitor of the TLR3/NF-κB signaling pathway and modulates immune responses by downregulating NF-κB p65 and IRF3 expression[2][3][4]. It is considered a substitute medicinal agent for prevention of influenza.
