luohuazizhu

Luohuazizhu is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine derived from Callicarpa nudiflora Hook. et Arn. It is available in various formulations including granules and suppositories. The primary active constituents are diterpenoids such as callicarpic acid A and related labdane-type compounds. Luohuazizhu exhibits anti-inflammatory, hemostatic, and detoxifying properties. Its mechanism of action involves inhibition of the NLRP3 inflammasome pathway and regulation of inflammatory cytokines. Clinically, it has been widely used in China for the treatment of digestive system disorders such as gastrointestinal hemorrhage, hepatitis, inflammation (including cervicitis), colorectal adenoma (a precursor to colorectal cancer), acute tonsillitis, urinary tract infections with bleeding, and other inflammatory conditions[1][3][7][10]. The product was first approved in China in 1995.
