Overview
Luqi Fang (鹿芪方), also known as LuQi formula, is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula investigated for its therapeutic effects, particularly in cardiovascular conditions such as heart failure and myocardial fibrosis. Research indicates that Luqi Fang modulates the immune system by regulating macrophages and regulatory T cells, and inhibits inflammatory pathways including the NF-κB/CCL17 axis and NLRP3 inflammasome activation. Furthermore, it has been shown to influence cardiac remodeling by inhibiting endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition and activating the relaxin signaling pathway, affecting proteins like RXFP1, Smad2, and Smad3. These actions collectively contribute to its cardioprotective potential.
