Overview

Lutetium (177Lu) rhPSMA-10.1 is a next-generation radiopharmaceutical therapy designed for the treatment of advanced prostate cancer, specifically metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). It consists of a radiohybrid ligand (rhPSMA-10.1) that selectively targets the prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), which is highly expressed on prostate cancer cells, and is labeled with the beta-emitting radioisotope Lutetium-177. This targeted approach allows for precise delivery of radiation to tumor cells while minimizing exposure to healthy tissues[3][5][7]. Preclinical and early clinical data indicate that 177Lu-rhPSMA-10.1 achieves high tumor uptake and retention with favorable dosimetry profiles compared to earlier PSMA-targeted radioligands[3][4][7]. The drug is being developed by Blue Earth Therapeutics as an innovative option for patients who have progressed after other therapies.
