CD44 is a cell-surface glycoprotein involved in cell-cell interactions, cell adhesion, and migration, and is frequently overexpressed in various cancers, including breast cancer and cancer stem cells. By binding to CD44-expressing tumor cells, the agent delivers localized ionizing radiation, leading to DNA damage and cell death.
