Overview

Lutetium-177-catalase is a radiopharmaceutical that combines the enzyme catalase with the radioactive isotope lutetium-177. It is designed for tumor radionuclide therapy and is administered via intratumoral injection. The drug is currently being investigated in early phase clinical trials for advanced cancer treatment. The radioactive component, lutetium-177, emits beta radiation that can damage and destroy tumor cells while causing minimal damage to surrounding healthy tissue due to its controlled radiation delivery properties.
