Lutetium 177Lu meO-DOTA-7E11 is an experimental radiolabeled anti-PSMA monoclonal antibody conjugate in which the 7E11 antibody is chelated with meO-DOTA and labeled with the beta/gamma-emitting radionuclide lutetium-177, designed for targeted radioimmunotherapy and imaging of prostate cancer expressing prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA). Preclinical studies demonstrated preserved PSMA binding of the 7E11 conjugate, efficient Lu-177 radiolabeling, favorable pharmacokinetics with tumor uptake and retention in LNCaP xenografts, and acceptable acute toxicology in rodents and dogs. A phase I study (177Lu-CYT-500) was initiated to evaluate safety, tolerability, and dosing in patients with advanced prostate cancer.[2][5][8]
