Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lutetium Lu 177-CDCP1 monoclonal antibody is a CDCP1-targeted therapeutic radiopharmaceutical under preclinical development for the treatment of solid tumors, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It consists of a recombinant human monoclonal antibody targeting CUB domain-containing protein 1 (CDCP1) conjugated to the chelator p-SCN-Bn-DOTA and radiolabeled with the beta-emitting radionuclide lutetium-177 (177Lu). CDCP1 is a cell-surface receptor that is overexpressed in various cancers and is associated with radiotherapy resistance. By binding specifically to CDCP1 on tumor cells, the radioconjugate delivers localized beta radiation, inducing DNA damage and tumor cell death. In preclinical models of radioresistant NSCLC, the agent has demonstrated potent antitumor activity both as a monotherapy and in combination with external beam radiotherapy.
