It binds to somatostatin receptor-positive tumor cells and delivers targeted radiation, leading to cell death[2][7]. **Pluvicto** (lutetium Lu 177 vipivotide tetraxetan) is a radioligand therapy that targets prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), which is highly expressed on metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer cells. By binding PSMA, it delivers localized radiation to these cancer cells[3][4][5][8]. Both drugs are administered intravenously in cycles and are approved for their respective indications.
