Lutetium Lu-177 XT033 is a radioligand therapy (RLT) drug designed for the treatment of metastatic prostate cancer that expresses prostate specific membrane antigen (PSMA)[1][4]. It consists of a peptide-based carrier with high affinity for PSMA, enabling selective delivery of the radioactive isotope lutetium-177 to prostate cancer cells[4]. A unique feature is its inclusion of an Evans blue fragment, which prolongs circulation time and enhances tumor uptake by increasing metabolic stability. The therapeutic effect is mediated by beta emission from lutetium-177, delivering targeted radiation to eradicate cancer cells while minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissue[4]. Lutetium Lu-177 XT033 has demonstrated promising preclinical efficacy in tumor regression and survival extension in animal models[4].
