Luzon

Luzon (also known as AAV-Luzon) is an engineered adeno-associated virus (AAV) capsid developed by rAAVen Therapeutics for the targeted delivery of gene therapies to cardiac tissues. Discovered using rAAVen's high-throughput capsid engineering platform, Luzon is designed to efficiently and broadly transduce cardiac cells following intravenous (IV) administration. In preclinical studies in non-human primates, the AAV-Luzon library demonstrated strong and widespread cardiac transduction. The vector is being developed as a platform for gene therapies targeting cardiomyopathies, heart failure, and other cardiac indications.
