**LV-DDC-GCH1-BMSCs** are an experimental, lentivirally engineered rat bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem-cell product developed for **Parkinson's disease**. The cells are transduced with a lentiviral construct expressing human **DDC** and **GCH1**, two enzymes involved in dopamine biosynthesis, then selected with blasticidin to establish a stable cell line. In a 6-hydroxydopamine-lesioned rat model, intracerebral transplantation increased dopamine-associated activity and reduced apomorphine-induced rotational behavior, although the dual-gene cell product was less active than the separate triple-enzyme DA-BMSC product that also expressed tyrosine hydroxylase.
