LVIVO-TaVec200 is an experimental *in vivo* chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy being developed by Legend Biotech in collaboration with The First Affiliated Hospital with Nanjing Medical University. Unlike traditional *ex vivo* CAR-T therapies, which require the extraction, genetic modification, and re-infusion of a patient's T cells, LVIVO-TaVec200 utilizes a lentiviral vector system to genetically engineer T cells directly within the patient's body. The therapy is designed to express a CAR targeting B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), a protein highly expressed on the surface of malignant plasma cells in multiple myeloma. By generating CAR-T cells *in vivo*, this approach aims to streamline the treatment process, reduce manufacturing complexity and costs, and eliminate the delay associated with external cell production. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 clinical trial for patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma.
