Overview

LVIVO-TaVec400 is an investigational *in vivo* chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy being developed by the Institute of Hematology & Blood Diseases Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. Unlike traditional CAR-T therapies that require complex *ex vivo* manufacturing (collecting, modifying, and re-infusing cells), LVIVO-TaVec400 utilizes a lentiviral vector system (the TaVec platform) to genetically engineer T cells directly within the patient's body. The vector is designed to deliver a gene encoding a CAR that targets B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), a protein highly expressed on malignant plasma cells. This approach aims to simplify the treatment process and reduce the time to therapy for patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma.
