LVK301 is a preclinical macrophage-based cell therapy being developed by Laverock Therapeutics for the treatment of solid tumors. The program utilizes the company's proprietary Gene Editing induced Gene Silencing (GEiGS) technology to engineer induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived macrophages with programmable gene silencing capabilities. This platform is designed to create 'smart' cell therapies that can sense and respond to their environment, specifically aimed at overcoming the immunosuppressive nature of the tumor microenvironment (TME) in solid cancers. By engineering macrophages to remain active and resistant to TME-mediated inhibition, LVK301 seeks to provide a more effective cell-based treatment for oncology indications.
