LVRNA007 is an mRNA-based vaccine candidate developed by Zhuhai Lifanda Biotechnology for the prevention of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection and associated lower respiratory tract disease (LRTD). The vaccine utilizes mRNA technology to encode the RSV fusion (F) protein, a highly conserved surface glycoprotein essential for viral entry and a primary target for neutralizing antibodies. Delivered via lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), the mRNA instructs host cells to produce the F protein, thereby eliciting both robust humoral (antibody-mediated) and cellular (T-cell) immune responses. LVRNA007 is designed to address the significant unmet medical need for RSV prevention, particularly in older adults and infants who are at high risk for severe respiratory complications. It is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation to determine its safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity profile.
