Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LW347 is an orally bioavailable small molecule inhibitor of programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), developed by Shanghai Longwood Biopharmaceuticals for the treatment of advanced malignant tumors. By targeting PD-L1, LW347 blocks its interaction with the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor, thereby preventing the inhibition of T-cell activation and restoring the immune system's ability to detect and destroy tumor cells. The drug received Investigational New Drug (IND) approval in China in May 2024 and is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
