LX102-C01 is a recombinant human vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) receptor-antibody fusion protein developed by Nanjing Leads Biolabs. Functioning as a "VEGF trap," it is designed to bind and neutralize multiple pro-angiogenic factors, including Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor A (VEGF-A), Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor B (VEGF-B), and Placental Growth Factor (PlGF). These factors play a critical role in the pathological angiogenesis and vascular permeability that drive retinal diseases. LX102-C01 is specifically formulated for intravitreal administration and is being investigated for the treatment of neovascular (wet) age-related macular degeneration (nAMD), with the goal of reducing retinal fluid and preventing vision loss in affected patients.
