Overview

LX15001 is a preclinical-stage, second-generation small molecule inhibitor of arachidonate 15-lipoxygenase (ALOX15) being developed by Loxagen. It is designed to address early brain injury (EBI) following aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). By inhibiting ALOX15, LX15001 aims to mitigate secondary brain damage, including oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, blood-brain barrier disruption, and neuroinflammation, thereby improving neurological outcomes and reducing brain injury.
