LX3305 is an orally administered small molecule drug developed by Lexicon Pharmaceuticals. It acts as an inhibitor of sphingosine 1-phosphate lyase (SGPL1), a key enzyme in the sphingolipid metabolism pathway. By inhibiting this enzyme, LX3305 modulates immune cell trafficking and exerts immunosuppressive effects. The drug has been investigated primarily for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and hereditary acantholytic dermatoses such as Darier disease and familial benign chronic pemphigus.
