LXH-1211

LXH-1211 is an orally bioavailable small molecule stimulator of soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC) being developed by Shandong Xinhua Pharmaceutical for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). As an sGC stimulator, LXH-1211 works by directly stimulating the sGC enzyme and sensitizing it to endogenous nitric oxide (NO), thereby increasing the levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). This mechanism promotes vasodilation of the pulmonary vasculature, inhibits the proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells, and exerts anti-fibrotic and anti-inflammatory effects. The drug is currently in Phase 1 clinical development in China, where it is being evaluated for safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy volunteers.
