LY2090314 + gemcitabine

LY2090314 + gemcitabine is a combination regimen comprising LY2090314, a potent and selective small molecule inhibitor of glycogen synthase kinase-3 beta (GSK-3β), and gemcitabine, a nucleoside analog and antineoplastic agent commonly used in various solid tumors including pancreatic cancer. LY2090314 inhibits both GSK-3α and GSK-3β isoforms, activating Wnt/β-catenin signaling, stabilizing β-catenin, and promoting apoptosis in cancer cells. Gemcitabine works by incorporating into DNA and inhibiting DNA synthesis, causing cell death.
