Overview

LY3164530 is a bispecific IgG4 monoclonal antibody designed to simultaneously target and inhibit both the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and the hepatocyte growth factor receptor (c-Met). By binding to these two receptors, which are often overexpressed or dysregulated in various cancers, LY3164530 blocks their activation and downstream signaling pathways. This dual inhibition aims to reduce tumor cell proliferation and overcome resistance mechanisms associated with targeting either pathway alone. The drug was developed by Eli Lilly for use in advanced or metastatic cancers but demonstrated significant toxicities related to EGFR inhibition in clinical studies. Its development has not progressed beyond early-phase trials[1][3][4][5][6].
