Overview

LY3451838 is a fully human immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4) monoclonal antibody developed by Eli Lilly. It potently and selectively binds to and neutralizes pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (PACAP), specifically targeting the PACAP38 isoform, which is implicated in migraine pathophysiology. By antagonizing the pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide receptor, LY3451838 aims to prevent or reduce migraine attacks in patients who have not responded to other preventive treatments. The drug has reached phase II clinical trials for treatment-resistant migraine[1][3][7].
