LY3475766 is a monoclonal antibody developed by Eli Lilly for the treatment of dyslipidemias, specifically targeting patients with mixed hyperlipidemia. It acts as an inhibitor of the angiopoietin-like 3/8 (ANGPTL3/8) complex, which is a potent regulator of triglyceride metabolism through inhibition of lipoprotein lipase (LPL). In phase 1 clinical studies, single doses of LY3475766 led to significant reductions in plasma triglycerides (up to 70%), remnant cholesterol, LDL-C (up to 37%), and apolipoprotein B levels, while increasing HDL-C. The drug was administered both intravenously and subcutaneously and demonstrated good safety and tolerability in early trials.
