Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lycomato (recently rebranded as Lycomato6™) is a proprietary, standardized tomato extract developed by Lycored from a specific breed of non-GMO tomatoes. It is an oral dietary supplement formulated as an oleoresin containing a synergistic complex of six standardized phytonutrients: lycopene, phytoene, phytofluene, beta-carotene, tocopherols (Vitamin E), and phytosterols. The formulation is designed to combat oxidative stress and inflammation by neutralizing free radicals and inhibiting collagen-degrading enzymes such as matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1). Additionally, it supports mitochondrial health by promoting mitophagy and reducing cellular damage. Lycomato is primarily marketed as a 'beauty-from-within' ingredient for skin health, with clinical evidence supporting its ability to improve skin elasticity, reduce wrinkles, and protect against photoaging and oxidative stress-induced damage.
