Overview

LYG-LIV-100 is an allogeneic regenerative cell therapy developed by LyGenesis in collaboration with iTolerance. The therapy involves the transplantation of allogeneic hepatocytes into a patient's lymph nodes, which serve as in vivo bioreactors where the cells engraft, proliferate, and organize into functional ectopic liver tissue. This second-generation product incorporates iTolerance's immune tolerance platform (iTOL-100) to potentially eliminate the need for lifelong systemic immunosuppression. It is primarily developed for the treatment of end-stage liver disease (ESLD) and inborn errors of metabolism, such as Maple Syrup Urine Disease (MSUD), by providing supplemental liver function through the generated ectopic organ tissue.
