Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lymphoblock is a sterile, biodegradable surgical solution composed of a partial silver salt of polyacrylic acid. Developed by Menora Laboratories and manufactured by Pul-Sar, it is used topically during surgical procedures to prevent and control lymphorrhea, seroma formation, and capillary bleeding. Upon contact with wound exudate, lymph, and blood proteins, Lymphoblock forms a dense, biodegradable polymer-protein hydrogel barrier within 5 to 7 minutes that mechanically seals damaged lymphatic and capillary vessels. Additionally, the silver ions within the formulation provide local antiseptic and antimicrobial activity. The polymer base fully biodegrades in tissue within 30 days.
