Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LynVir CE is an investigational allogeneic virus-specific T-cell (VST) therapy developed by iCELL Biotechnology. It is specifically designed to target and eliminate cells infected with Cytomegalovirus (CMV) and Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV). This cell therapy is intended for the treatment of refractory CMV and EBV infections, which are common and potentially life-threatening complications in immunocompromised patients, such as those undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) or solid organ transplantation. By providing a population of T cells pre-sensitized to viral antigens, LynVir CE aims to restore viral immunity and control infection in cases where standard antiviral pharmacotherapy has failed. The product is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
